KPJ Office Updates:
Kuhl, Phillips, and Jans Inc has updated their Covid 19 office practices according to new guidance from the CDC. If you have been fully vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask in our office. If you are not fully vaccinated, KPJ will require you to wear your mask within our office.
Tax Preparation:
It is hard to believe that another tax season is upon us. For the 2021 tax preparation services, KPJ is completing our tax services in a variety of methods. Our KPJ staff will meet with you in person, we will perform a video chat session with the Microsoft Teams app, or we can discuss your tax matters via a phone conference. KPJ realizes that all our clients have differing comfort levels with the Covid-19 situation still among us and we can accommodate your preferred choice. For an in-person appointment, can call our office at 319-545-2215 and make your appointment. If you prefer a phone conference or video chat, please complete your organizer, and put an “X” on the page where it asks for a video chat or phone conference and drop off your tax material. After you drop off your material, our staff will reach out to you and set up the phone or video chat.
For individual tax returns, the IRS deadline will remain April 15, 2022, and the Iowa individual filing deadline is April 30, 2021. If you believe that you will not be able to file your personal returns by those dates, please sign your engagement letter and put an “X” in the extension request section of the organizer that you have received. Return these pages of the organizer to our office and we can file the extension for you.
For most business returns, the deadlines have been unchanged from the prior year. Please complete your business organizer as soon as possible and return them to our office. You can contact your preparer and discuss your appointment or filing options.
KPJ is very thankful to our clients and wish you all happy and prosperous start to your 2022 year. Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns.
